The Altai Mountains & Ermin Valley bioregion is part of the Altai-Sayan Mountains subrealm located in the Central Eurasia realm (central Palearctic) and contains four ecoregions—Altai Montane Forest and Forest Steppe (690), Altai Steppe and Semi-Desert (724), Emin Valley Steppe (728), Altai Alpine Meadow and Tundra (749).
