The Sichuan Basin & Central Mountain Forests bioregion is located in the Eastern Eurasia realm (eastern Palearctic) and contains three ecoregions – Daba Mountains Evergreen Forests (659), Qin Ling Mountains Deciduous Forests (677), Sichuan Basin Evergreen Broadleaf Forests (680)  – totaling approximately 39 million hectares of land area.

The Sichuan Basin & Central Mountain Forests bioregion is part of the Central East Asian Forests subrealm and is made up of three ecoregions: (1) Sichuan Basin Evergreen Broadleaf Forests (2) Daba Mountains Evergreen Forests (3) Qin Ling Mountains Deciduous Forests.
