The Tian Shan-Pamir Grasslands, Mountain Steppe & Conifer Forests bioregion is part of the Tien Shan Mountains subrealm located in the Central Eurasia realm (central Palearctic). It contains five ecoregions—Tian Shan Montane Conifer Forests (709), Alai-Western Tian Shan Steppe (721), Gissaro-Alai Open Woodlands (730), Tian Shan Foothill Arid Steppe (740), Tian Shan Montane Steppe and Meadows (767)—totaling more than 73 million hectares of land area.

The Tian Shan-Pamir Grasslands, Mountain Steppe & Conifer Forests bioregion is part of the Tian Shan Mountains subrealm and is made up of five ecoregions: (1) Alai-Western Tian Shan Steppe (2) Gissaro-Alai Open Woodlands (3) Tian Shan Montane Conifer Forests (4) Tian Shan Montane Steppe and Meadows (5) Tian Shan Foothill Arid Steppe.
