Rarity Sites
Solution Pathway
Rarity sites, or Conservation Imperatives, are unprotected areas that need to be protected immediately due to the presence of rare or range-restricted plant and animal species. This includes species rarity sites and makes up Layer 2 of the Global Safety Net (GSN).
