CODES Action Plan for a Sustainable Planet in the Digital Age
Digitalization, the adoption of digital technologies, is driving significant economic, social, and environmental changes. The future of humanity and the planet depends on how we manage this transformation. We have a chance to guide it toward a healthier, safer, and more equitable future, rather than worsening environmental degradation, inequality, and division. Global sustainability is not a guaranteed outcome of digitalization; it has already increased human impact on the environment and deepened societal inequalities. However, with conscious effort, digitalization can support a more sustainable and just world. This Action Plan outlines three key shifts and nine Impact Initiatives to inspire immediate collective action and collaboration.
