Dr. Matthew A. Kost
Evolutionary Agroecologist
Dr. Kost holds a doctorate degree in Evolutionary Agroecology from The Ohio State University and is a broadly trained plant scientist well versed in designing and employing novel approaches to study local adaptation, conserve, and utilize, plant diversity on the landscape. He has worked with cultures throughout the Americas to enable knowledge obtained from innovative scientific inquiry to increase crop diversity conservation and, hence, increase agricultural resilience and sustainability. Recently, he has strategically sharpened his ability to conduct applied research by directing programs in several non-profit organizations and by founding multiple for-profit businesses in agroecology and crop diversity conservation.
