Welcoming two new members to One Earth's Board of Directors

One Earth is honored to welcome two distinguished new members to its Board of Directors, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise that will significantly enhance our organization’s capacity to drive impactful climate and nature solutions. To mark this significant occasion, our Executive Director, Justin Winters, and Board Chair, Brad Leibov, have shared a joint statement:

Tenzin Seldon

Tenzin Seldon is the Founder and Managing Partner at Pulse Fund, a venture capital fund investing in high-growth climate companies. With nearly two decades of experience, she is a recognized climate leader and venture capitalist. She co-founded a net-negative infrastructure company focused on the redevelopment and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

Previously, Tenzin worked at the United Nations Environment Programme in Thailand, overseeing the region’s disaster risk reduction policy. She serves on several private and public boards, including Marathon Digital Holdings, Stanford University’s Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, and UN NGO Creative Visions Foundation. At Pulse Fund, Tenzin has led various deals in the climate sector and holds board positions in companies such as Mast Reforestation, Endera, Twelve, and BlocPower.

Tenzin’s work has earned global recognition. She was named Forbes Magazine’s “Most Likely to Impact the Next Century,” a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, a Harry S. Truman Scholar by the US Congress, and one of OZY Magazine’s “5 Civil-Rights Leaders for a New Generation.” In 2018, she received the 21st Century Icon Awards from the London Stock Exchange and was honored at the United Nations as an Innovative Disruptor. Tenzin graduated top of her class at Stanford University and became the first Tibetan-American Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford.

Sarah Woodhead

Sarah Woodhead is a trusted advisor to conservation organizations worldwide, deeply committed to preserving wild landscapes and conserving biodiversity and endangered species. Sarah co-founded the Leuser Ecosystem Action Fund (LEAF), which aims to protect 2.4 million hectares of rainforest in Northern Sumatra, home to the region’s last orangutans, tigers, rhinos, and elephants. She has used her public relations expertise to raise awareness and organize events, raising over $5 million for rainforest conservation.  

Sarah helped launch the redesigned Islas Secas in Panama’s Gulf of Chiriquí, leveraging her branding, image, and sustainability expertise to develop the luxury eco-lodge and promote conservation and sustainability in the region. Earlier in her career, Sarah managed large-scale events for film, fashion, lifestyle, and music, building a network of executives and philanthropists passionate about impactful causes. In 1999, she launched Woodhead Calliva, a premier public relations firm, later establishing her own consultancy focusing on individual clients.  

Sarah serves on the board of the Bacon Foundation, which protects natural resources and inspires future environmental stewards, and she sits on the board of Space for Giants, dedicated to protecting East Africa’s natural ecosystems where the highest density of elephants is found. Sarah is also an Ambassador for both Journeys with Purpose and Panamanian Wildlife Conservation.

Tenzin and Sarah are joining our board of dedicated leaders who bring experience and passion to the organization. Brad Leibov, Chair, is a social impact leader and CEO of EarthShare, with a track record in leadership, strategy, and creating impactful programs. Jena King, Co-founder and Secretary, guides the Jena and Michael King Foundation, focusing on children’s well-being and environmental sustainability, and has been recognized for her leadership in the environmental sector. Coretta Anderson, Treasurer, serves as Senior Manager at Earthjustice and brings over a decade of experience in strategic engagement and public outreach. Jay Halfon, Board Member, is an attorney and public policy strategist, advising organizations on climate campaigns and tax-exempt issues. Rick Ridgeway, Board Member, is an outdoor adventurer and former Patagonia VP, known for his sustainability initiatives and contributions to conservation. Rachel Rivera, Board Member, is the COO of Wild Lives Foundation, focusing on marine and wildlife conservation. Lastly, Justin Winters, Co-founder and Executive Director of One Earth also serves as President of the Board of Directors. Read more about One Earth's Board of Directors.
